This week I headed to the salon. It was time for a change. Then I was invited to a local fashion show. Finally, it was back to the homestead to get some work done.
I’ve been asked by several folks recently about the chickens. In particular, how am I still getting eggs, and what am I feeding them? Today I took a few minutes to talk about it.
Well we had an interesting day. Something unexpected happened to say the least, and Duke (and Jack) saved the day!
It’s not all fun and games on a homestead. There are times when unpleasant things happen and it is completely out of your control. This is one of those times.
Headed to Huntsville, Alabama for another photo shoot. This time I was photographing a family…but the lady made me a little nervous…and gave me something to think about. Then I shared something that my son and daughter-in-law were able to experience over in Europe!
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you had a great time of family, friends, new memories and yummy food! I talked about our Thanksgiving, and then something I could see in the pasture from my kitchen window. Oh my, you’ll think this is pretty cool!
First, the doggies got in trouble! Then…pho with some blogger friends. Next, an impromptu road trip to Atlanta. Finally…how did opening day go? Well, let’s just say that someone forgot to tell the weather man. Sigh.
I really should know better than to pull out my camera when I am “in a mood.” But it is what it is! LOL. Keepin’ it real here folks. Today I talked about another thing that irked me. Well…maybe a couple things that irked me.
I was in a bit of a mood and well…went on a little bit of a rant over something I too often see in homesteading communities online.
It was a busy weekend, and I was all over northern Alabama! From volunteering in Cullman, to a celebration in Hartselle, to a photo shoot in Huntsville where I ran into some friends. It was a packed weekend, but lots of fun!
