I’ve heard tell of some sort of big football game this weekend. Maybe you’ve heard something about that too. It seems any time there’s a big event like that, it’s the perfect time to get together with friends. And what happens when you get together with friends? You have food!!
Here’s a collection of some of my favorite recipes to make for a good – Super even – football party (or any party for that matter.)
Dips & Spreads
Every party, no matter what kind of party it is, has to have dips to munch on. Here’s some good ones for you!
You really can’t have a football party without some sort of wings, so here are my favorite wing recipes.
Here’s something a little different, effortless stewed wings – Kadun Pika
Chilis or Stews
I don’t know about you, but a piping hot bowl of chili or stew to fill you up at half time sounds perfect to me.
Moose Chili (This can be made with beef instead of moose if you aren’t a hunter.)
Another chili that takes advantage of some wild game is this Caribou Andouille Chili – again, just substitute beef for the caribou for a tamer version. This is a slow cooker chili.
And finally a fun one that I shared over at Hip Homeschool Moms, Cincy Chili.
The last recipe I’m sharing with you today, is one of my most popular recipes of all time, and is a must at every party. (Made with beef now that we don’t live in Alaska anymore – insert the sound of weeping here.)
Need some more recipe ideas? Tune in this weekend, because the Sunday Supper theme is going to be just that! I’ll be sharing a fun twist on nachos, so you won’t want to miss it.
Whomever you’re cheering for this year, I wish you a safe, fun and delicious time!
