I want to take a moment and introduce you to this great lady, Ann Marie.
I first “met” Ann Marie several years ago, when I came across her blog, Household 6 Diva. At first glance, you might think from a name like “diva” that she’s one of those picture-perfect, too good to be true “women bloggers” that do their best to make people feel like they aren’t measuring up.
That is not the case with Ann Marie. To the contrary, she is inspiring, honest and incredibly funny! When I think of her, I swear, this is one of the first images that will pop into my head. How many people would be brave enough to posts a photo like this? She’s keeping it real.
And aren’t her kids stinkin’ cute?!
Have I mentioned that when I found her blog, that she lived in Germany (a place I LOVED living) and that she too, is an Army Wife? I loved following her on her junking expeditions and the treasures she found. Great memories there! She’s also an amazing seamstress, and probably doesn’t know that she inspired me to brave the sewing machine and make my own ball gown. No where near as gorgeous as hers, but it turned out great!
But what I love about Ann Marie, is that she is a real person. She doesn’t “put on airs.” She shows you when her kitchen has exploded from a fun-filled day of spending time with her kids. And you know what? It’s okay!
She has shared her struggles with life changing after a deployment. Life isn’t always rainbows & lollipops, and her honesty was an encouragement to others – because they realized that they weren’t alone.
Ann Marie and her family has since moved and planted roots in Texas, where she gets her family involved with historical reenactments. Can you imagine the experiences that her homeschooled kids get with this? How fun! They are making memories to last for a life time.
Ann Marie recently took her historical skills to a whole new level, and her family has begun making homemade soaps. Have you ever tried homemade soaps? Seriously, once you have, you will never want the stuff from the store again.
Her husband even got into the historical crafting skills, and has begun making adorable toys for their adorable children.
I invite you to visit Ann Marie’s blog – Household 6 Diva, and I also invite you to check out her Etsy shop – Yellow Rose Emporia where you can get hand crafted soaps, toys and more.
