My father’s favorite candy, for as long as I can remember, has always been “turtles.” You know those chocolate covered caramel & pecan treats? I’ve always like them myself and this recipe is a way to enjoy those flavors in the form of a warm, cozy drink.

There’s nothing like a cup of hot chocolate on a cold, wintery day. Wouldn’t you agree? This Turtle Hot Chocolate is sure to be your new favorite.

This time of year, I always see an abundance of the sweetened condense milk cans on sale at the grocery store. They get used for everything from fudge to bars.

In recent years, I have been finding flavored ones every holiday season. This particular recipe uses caramel sweetened condensed milk.

To begin, simply pour a can of it in a saucepan.

If you can’t find the caramel version of the sweetened condensed milk in your area, no worries! Make this with a can of the regular, unflavored sweetened condensed milk and stir a spoonful of dulce de leche into your mug of hot chocolate.

Now for two variations of this recipe that you may just love this winter.
