Those of you that receive MrsMamaHen updates via feedburner might be wondering what in the world is going on. For others, it might seem strange to write a “welcome” post after I started this blog a little while ago…but this is my “official” launch of Cosmopolitan Cornbread.
You see, I began blogging in 2006 with my very first blog on Xanga. I later moved to BlogSpot/Blogger, and have been blogging there as MrsMamaHen since 2009!
I enjoyed blogging there, found it easy to do, was even part of the BlogHer network.
And then it happened…
The photos on my blog started “breaking.” Some days, no matter what I did, the images would not show up on my blog. With a blog like mine, that is very photo-heavy, having the photos not display is a nightmare!! I spent a few months trying to figure out how to fix it, trying to wait out the problems…but it continued to happen. Even if I exported my blog and imported it to a new location, this would have continued to happen, because the problem was where all of my photos were hosted. I even gave it a try with a food blog called “Cooking A Blue Streak” but the issue continued.
So after much turmoil, internal debate and sleepless nights, I made the scary decision to move to a new location and start from scratch.
For the past several weeks, any content that I posted here, was also posted on MrsMamaHen …but we have reached the point where… deep breath… MrsMamaHen has ended. The original blog will still exist for reference purposes, (though the photos may not display) but the new blog is now the real deal. All new content is here and here alone.
Over time I will be moving every single recipe, and almost all of the posts to the new site. If you subscribe via e-mail updates, you may get multiple e-mails at a time. I recommend subscribing with the digest version, so your e-mail inbox doesn’t get bombarded on the days I am working like a mad woman over here!
With over 10,000 photos, and 1,000 blog posts since 2006, there is no way I can ever move every single post and photo, but the majority of it will over time be here…and definitely every recipe and then some!
