Pizza Joes are pizza-flavored sloppy joe sandwiches that are a fun, messy mashup of two comfort food favorites.

Pizza Joes are an Italian twist on the classic sloppy Joe sandwich.

Ground beef is simmered in a zesty pizza sauce with classic pizza seasonings, bell pepper and onion, giving it that unmistakable pizzeria vibe.

Mozzarella cheese melts over the top, while pepperoni adds a salty, spicy kick that ties it all together. This hearty filling delivers bold, Italian-inspired flavors in every saucy bite.

Perfect for a quick weeknight family dinner or a crowd-pleasing game day twist, these sandwiches bring the best of pizza and sloppy joes to the table.

Some days you just know that you are not going to have a minute to spare when it comes to dinner time. Thankfully these Pizza Joes take just a few minutes to make.

You could also make it ahead, and toss it all into your slow cooker and keep it on “warm” until dinner time!

This Pizza Joe mixture also freezes well. Make a double or triple batch and freeze the extra in portions for later. Thaw, heat and serve on buns for a fast meal anytime.

To begin, sauté the diced onion & green bell pepper and ground beef (or other preferred ground meat) together until the beef is browned and cooked through.

Add in the seasonings and pizza sauce, stir well.

Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.

To serve, spoon the meat mixture onto a roll and top with a slice of cheese and enjoy!

You could also stir in some sliced black olives, or even some chopped turkey pepperoni. This could also be spooned into a baked potato, or served over French fries. Your family will love this.
