Okay folks, this is the last week before Christmas weekend! I thought that in case you are still looking for a few gift suggestions, I would take a moment and simply share some ideas. Many of these items you may find locally, or there’s always Amazon and their next day or 2 day shipping. In any case, if you are still stumped for ideas…let’s all hum the tune from the Sound of Music as I share…a few of my favorite things.
First up – boots. I LOVE my boots and I wear them all the time.
All. The. Time.
I personally think any woman worth her salt should have a good pair of boots. I have a few pairs of different styles, but these, THESE are my favorite ones. When buying boots, I suggest buying a size larger than you normally wear. I wear size 8 shoes, but in boots (any boots really) I wear a size 9.
Looking for something a little fashionable? I have several beautiful JORD wood watches in different styles. I love these watches and am complimented on them all the time. They are lightweight and because they are real wood, they also let your skin breathe. I have sensitive skin and can wear my watches all day long. JORD makes watches for men and women in many styles.
Another “pretty” that is a favorite of mine, is this Amber perfume oil. I keep a bottle of it in my purse all the time. This brand makes it in a number of fragrances, but this amber is my favorite. It is rich and spicy. I bought this originally in my local health food store – “Sunshine Foods” in Fairbanks, Alaska. Many natural food stores carry perfumes like this.
If you live where there is snow and ice, then I highly suggest a set of these for everyone in your house. I bought our family Kahtoolas when we lived in Alaska, and though Alabama could never dream of having that kind of weather, snow and ice does hit once in a blue moon. I still have mine and they are priceless. They slip right onto your shoes or boots, and right off when you get where you are going. They slip right on and off…and you don’t slip at all.
Another annual favorite treat is my Spiced Nuts mix. I make this every single year, without fail.
Want to give a delicious gift but don’t have time to make anything? How about the best granola on planet earth? Seriously. Staat’s Bakery in Liberty, Kentucky now has adorable sampler baskets that would make a perfect gift for anyone. And the best thing about it, is you can read and understand every single ingredient. Just saying. You can order yours online and get it shipped right to you door.
One of the suggestions from the Facebook community was a good set of Carhartt work bibs. One of the ladies even gets them for her kids to play in. They protect their clothing and never seem to wear out. They make them for men, women and kiddos of all sizes. I have been known to
