Last week, I was given a tour of Angel’s Island Coffee’s new coffee truck and a great lesson in Latte Art!
Now in case you have been living under a rock, or are new to A Good Life Farm, Angel’s Island Coffee is my favorite coffee shop in town. My friend c.a. and I have many most of our coffee chats there. One day last year, my daughter stopped by to visit us and noticed a “Help Wanted” sign in the window. In no time she was my favorite barista in my favorite shop – until she got married and moved back to North Carolina.
The Angel’s Island Coffee Truck can be found at the food truck festivals in Huntsville, on the parkway near Bigfoot Doughnuts and at many events around town. It can also be scooted right over to your next wedding or celebration to cater for your coffee-loving crowds.
On this particular evening I was accompanied by my friend Christy and my future daughter-in-law Jacqueline.
We got to check out the new coffee truck and then our hostess Dani took us inside to give us some lessons on how to do latte art!
First she did a couple demonstrations…I vlogged it of course!
Oh, this will be easy! (Ha!!!)
Look at Christy, so cool and professional.
Christy’s first attempt.
Okay, I may or may not have been paying so much attention to the foam that I poured until I overflowed the cup. Ahem.
But look! I made a cat! Sort of.
On Christy’s next try, she made Elizabeth Montgomery from Bewitched.
Dani is incredibly talented at what she does. In addition to being a fantastic barista and artist, she is a miraculous teacher. Under Dani’s keen tutelage, we left the coffee shop as latte art pros!
(Just kidding.)
