Tender, flavorful country pork ribs with a slightly sweet, apple flavor. This slow cooker recipe is sure to please!
To begin, you’ll need some apple preserves. If you can’t find preserves, you can use some apple jelly instead.
Put about 3/4 cup of preserves in a small dish and add in 2/3 cup of bourbon.
To those, add 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar.
Next you’ll need 1/2 cup of your favorite barbecue sauce. Mix those and a teaspoon of thyme leaves and 1/2 cup brown sugar all together in the bowl and set them aside.
Salt and pepper your country pork ribs.
Pour the tangy sauce over the ribs.
Mmmmm…this is going to be good! Cook this on low in your crockpot for 4-5 hours.
After it has cooked for the first portion, core and wedge two Granny Smith Apples and add them to the crockpot. Cook for 2 more hours.
Enjoy with your favorite sides!
