A delicious and easy Quick Bread with bits of apple and cinnamon, topped with a drizzle of sour cream glaze.
To Make This Recipe You Will Need:
- brown sugar
- cinnamon
- Granny Smith apple
- all-purpose flour
- baking powder
- salt
- granulated sugar
- butter
- eggs
- milk
- vanilla extract
- sour cream
- powdered sugar
- mixing bowls
- mixer
- loaf pan
- cooling rack
- whisk
- rubber spatula

To begin, preheat your oven to 350°(F).
Coat your loaf pan well with butter, grease and flour it, or use my baking spray replacement. Set it aside for now.
In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Stir well.
Add in diced apple and mix to coat. Set it aside for now.
In a bowl combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir it together and set it aside for now.
In your mixing bowl, beat granulated sugar and butter together until nice and creamy.
Mix in a couple eggs.
Mix in half of the flour mixture.
Add in milk and vanilla extract, mix well.
You May Also Like Cranberry Apple Cobbler
Mix in the remaining flour mixture. Be sure to scrape your bowl with a rubber spatula to ensure all of the ingredients are mixed in.
Spread half of the batter in your prepared pan.
Sprinkle in half of the apples mixture.
Spread the remaining half of the batter over the apples and then top with the remaining half of the apples.
Run a butter knife through the batter to swirl the apples slightly into the batter.
Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the bread tests done with a wooden skewer inserted in the middle.
Cool the bread in the pan for about 10-15 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.
How to Make the Sour Cream Glaze
Combine sour cream, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar in a small bowl.
Whisk it together until it is nice and smooth.
If needed, add just enough milk to make the glaze drizzle-able. Only add a tiny bit at a time, if needed at all.
Drizzle the glaze over the top of the quick bread.

- 2 Tb sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 c powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons milk, if needed, see recipe instructions
