The next segment of our trip, we headed into Canada for the first time. That was quite interesting.
PCS: Washington State–The Last of the Lower 48
After stopping near Coulee City, Washington…we headed south back to the interstate. This was the view along the way.
PCS Days 8 through 11 | Wyoming, Montana, Idaho and Washington State
After visiting the Badlands and Mount Rushmore, we headed into Wyoming. I told everyone that Wyoming should be called “The Antelope State” because they are EVERYWHERE!
PCS: Our Other Destination: The Badlands, South Dakota
This is the other amazing thing we saw on our trip across South Dakota.
PCS: Day 6 – Destination: The Other End of South Dakota
The drive across South Dakota was…um….very boring. I’m sorry to any South Dakotans out there, I really mean no offense. But when the most exciting to see is a cow in a pasture… well….it leaves little to the imagination.
PCS Day 5 – Destination: Mitchell, South Dakota
On day 5 of 18 days of driving, our destination was Mitchell, South Dakota.
PCS: Day 4 – Destination: Albert Lea, Minnesota
While visiting in Wisconsin, my aunts & uncles came to visit. I was so happy to see them all.
PCS: Day 3 – Destination: Wisconsin/Illinois
Now whenever I talk about going “home” I always say “Wisconsin” because that is where I grew up. But a few years after I left home, my parents moved to the other side of town, which happens to be in another state.
Day 2 – Destination: Indiana
On the second day of driving, we got up, packed up, and gave lots of hugs.
PCS: Saying Goodbye and Day 1 | 2 Aug 2010
We cleared housing Thursday morning, and then headed to the Smith Lake Army Campground at Fort Bragg.
Raven Rock State Park in North Carolina
Last weekend, we went on an outing to hike at Raven Rock State Park.
Spanish Moss
In this part of North Carolina, you don’t really see Spanish Moss. We are just too far north for it I guess. But in this one place, it is everywhere.
Kids & Guns: After the Competition
When all of my children were done with their competitions, they found other things to do.
Kids & Guns: The Shotgun Range
After my youngest and eldest were done at the rifle range, we headed up to the shotgun range, where both of my boys would be competing.
Homemade Compost Tumbler
Are you like me? Do you get a horrible case of the guilt trips every time you throw away a whole pile of food scraps?
My (First) Chicken Tractor
This was the very first chicken tractor that I built back in 2007. It was a simple design, but great for just a few chickens.
