I was recently contacted by Bonefish Grill and asked if I would like to come on out to see their newly renovated restaurant and see what they had on the menu in the new year. So I headed out one evening for a weeknight dinner with my husband, my son, my friend, CA and her husband. When we walked in, we took in the new look of the restaurant. I love it when places combine elements of industrial metal into the decor.
I started my evening off with a cocktail, a Winter White Cosmopolitan. I thought that was fitting, don’t you?
For an appetizer, CA ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp. I think this must be their most popular appetizer, because I saw it make an appearance on many tables around us.
And the entrees? Among the choices that my dinner companions selected, there was my son’s Oscar Mahi Mahi – wood grilled mahi mahi topped with lump crab & lemon sauce. He has decided that mahi mahi is his new favorite fish.
I chose a selection off of the Hooked on Tuesday menu. That menu features nine meals options of three different courses that focus on pairing a great meal with great value. The menu is served every Tuesday during dinner time and all meals start at $14.90. Mix and match your meal from a choice of salad, to your choice of several entrees and even your pick of dessert.
I had the yummy Caesar salad to start.
My main course was this Pecan Parmesan Crusted Rainbow Trout. It was such a generous portion that I couldn’t even eat it all, as I still had dessert coming.
And for dessert? Cheesecake!
It was a wonderful meal as always. Jack has decided that Bonefish Grill is his favorite restaurant. He loves seafood. I like not having to cook seafood. Don’t get me wrong, I can cook a mean Thai Sweet Chili Glazed Salmon or some Coriander Crusted Salmon…especially if it is salmon I caught myself. But I really hate the smell of raw fish, or the cleanup after. So eating out gives me the pleasure of the seafood, with none of the work to go with it. That’s a serious win in my book.
Visit Bonefish Grill’s website to find a location near you and see their entire menu.
Oh, and what does it look like to eat out with a blogger? A little something like this.
