Stopping at a rest stop in Wisconsin.

Shortly after leaving this rest stop, I got the very first up-close look at a Bald Eagle that I have ever gotten in my whole life. It literally choked me up. Little did I know, that my first would soon be followed by several more sightings.

This brings back many memories. We came here nearly every summer when I was a kid.

Then as we neared our destination, we took a short detour into Austin, Minnesota. Yes. This is a SPAM museum.

No, I didn’t go in to sample the….um….goodies?

Remember the sea of wind turbines? Here is one of the blades. Josh is standing in front of it.

Around the lake at Myre Big-Island State Park, were hundreds of these cormorants.

I hadn’t seen one of these in years!

This was in a camp spot. I have no idea.
