The drive across South Dakota was…um….very boring. I’m sorry to any South Dakotans out there, I really mean no offense. But when the most exciting to see is a cow in a pasture… well….it leaves little to the imagination.
However, I found that each end of the state was rather interesting…such as the Corn Palace and such in the east…..and many things in the west.
First of all, I snapped this picture as we left the campground that morning. I loved this place, so quaint and homey! I wish all parks were like this….they even had chickens running around!
This little chapel was at a rest stop along the way.
And then the Missouri River. The view was breath-taking!
A few things along the interstate.
The first sign of something NOT FLAT up ahead.
More road-side decor.
Followed by….
Very interesting…
That evening we stayed in Rapid City, South Dakota. Nearby was something very cool.
He was the maker of something amazing.
The amphitheater.
But before we saw this, we saw something even more spectacular.
Which I will share in other posts…..because I took SO many pictures, I’ll have to break it up.
