Recipe type: Main Dishes
Cuisine: Asian inspired
Serves: 6 servings
  • 8 oz. long noodles (spaghetti or lo mein)
  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 1 Tb cornstarch
  • 1 Tb coconut oil
  • 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
  • 1 tsp fresh grated garlic
  • ⅔ c beef broth
  • 1 Tb brown sugar
  • 4 c frozen stir fry vegetables
  • 1 Tb soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  1. To begin, you will need 8 ounces of long noodles. You can use spaghetti noodles, or head to your local Asian market and pick up some lo mein noodles. I used Philippine-style noodles. Cook them according to package directions until just done.
  2. Thinly slice the flank steak into strips. Toss it in a bowl with the cornstarch to coat it.
  3. In a large skillet or wok, heat the coconut oil over medium high heat. Toss in the beef and cook until just browned. Add in the fresh ginger and garlic. Stir it in.
  4. Add in the frozen stir-fry vegetables along with the beef broth and brown sugar. Cover the wok/skillet and steam the vegetables over medium heat for about 4-5 minutes, or until they just begin to get tender.
  5. Stir in the soy sauce and sesame oil.
  6. Add in your cooked noodles. Stir to coat.
  7. Enjoy!
