Need a few gift ideas for the ladies in your life? Well, I thought I would share with you a few of my favorite things. Maybe these would be perfect for your lady, or maybe they’ll inspire a great idea!
First up, Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow
I do believe that this is my favorite eye shadow palette of all time. Not only do the colors go on well-pigmented and smooth as velvet, but the shadows actually contain cocoa and smell like chocolate. Talk about a luxurious experience in the morning when you are getting ready for the day!
Everyone wants their family to be safe, and here’s a cool security gadget. This is a doorbell that you hang outside your front door. You connect it to your home’s wifi, and when someone ring’s your doorbell, you can see who it is with an app on your smart phone. Not only that, but you can talk to them from in your house or wherever you happen to be. So next time you miss the delivery person, you can let them know to leave the package under your bench, or wherever. It also has a motion sensor, to let you know when someone is there, even if they don’t ring the doorbell. Of course, I think this gift is perfect for anyone, male or female!
I love a good tote bag, and I also love things that are durable and of good quality. I think this is my favorite tote that I have ever come across. If you want to gift someone with something both useful and stylish, you can’t go wrong with this tote from Will Leather Goods.
For the “Southern Belles” out there, I was recently sent a copy of this adorable cookbook from the author. For those of you who may remember, I have a dear friend who lives in the little Mayberry town of Liberty, Kentucky named Catherine Staat. Her friend wrote this cute cookbook which includes recipes like Jeems’ Ham Roll-Ups, Aunt Pittypat’s Holiday Cider, Ashley’s Barbecued Chicken and more. If you love that epic movie, Gone With the Wind as much as I do, or you have a loved one who does, this is the perfect cookbook for them. The cookbook can be found at select Krogers, Hallmark stores, other bookstores, as well has the author’s website.
Jo Malone London
I am very particular about the fragrances that I wear. In the last year or so though, I have discovered a line that has more fragrances that I love, than ones I hate – which is usually the way it goes. As in…I hate most and maybe find one I like. Seriously, when I say particular – I mean it. I think this one is my new favorite. Mimosa & Cardamom. Heavenly. (Comes in 1 oz or 3.4 oz sizes.) For a more masculine scent – a gift for him – try out the Wood Sage & Sea Salt (also in 1 oz or 3.4 oz bottles.)
Not only do they have their colognes, but you can also find luxury candles, scrubs and more in those scents. Go to your local Jo Malone London and sample all these wonderful fragrances – for both women and men. You can also blend variations to create your own signature scent. Better yet, schedule yourself a hand & arm massage and make a girl’s (or guy’s) night out of it!
And finally, Premier Designs jewelry.
I recently went to a Premier show, given by my friend Jen, and I have to say that I was pretty impressed with the many designs they have. Necklaces that can be worn in a multitude of ways, giving many looks to a single piece. I walked away wanting all sorts of pieces. The It’s a Wrap bracelet you see below, is my new favorite bracelet. I love the rustic feel it has.
But if you are going for a more glamorous look, there’s the On the Fringe necklace, Tailor Made bracelet, Julia earrings and any number of countless other designs to choose from. I especially love some of their faith-based designs. Visit my friend Jen and take a look at all of the designs in the online catalogs and see which ones you’d like to add to your holiday looks!
Whatever gifts you give this year, remember that the real reason we celebrate this season, is the ultimate gift that was given to us. It can’t be bought in a store, ordered in a catalog or obtained with any monetary value. That price was already paid by the child whose birth we recognize this time of year.
For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us;
And the government will rest on His shoulders;
And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
