Years ago, I used to be such a early morning bird. Then I started homeschooling…and things got a little more relaxed. I would go through periods of time where I felt guilty for not being the proverbial early riser…and would do my best to be up and at ’em and productive LONG before the rest of the house stirred.
Then we moved to Alaska.
First the issue was the continual light in the summer. It would be 2 am, and I would look at the clock with shock, thinking “Man, I should be tired or something!” I found it impossible to go to sleep simply because it was still light as day out.
Then winter came.
And so did this.
And I found myself out at all hours “light stalking.”
So I figured after we moved back down to the lower 48, and things got back to “normal” that I would revert to “normal” waking and sleeping hours.
As I type this, it is 12:10 AM.
I’m not tired…but out of guilt, I’ll go to bed as soon as I publish this.
