This past week, the theme for our photography group was “History.”
This photo is a millstone pair that sits on my inlaws property. These stones milled the grains for all the farmers around “back in the day.”
A beautiful old cabin in a cemetery, in Church Hill, Tennessee.
Historical marker along 11W in NE Tennessee.
Here are some amazing photos that were shared by participants in the facebook group…
“Another kind of history – a personal one. My grandfather and great-grandfather were born in this Pennsylvania farmhouse.”
“Built in 1930s in a small town in Kalmünz, Germany. . Survived the war… this is a house built in the rocks under the castle of the town.”
“The Courthouse in my home town, Kitzingen, Germany. We got married there in 1992, and took a picture in front of it that day. When we returned in 2011 we took another one in the same spot, and it was fun to compare them when we got back home to Alaska! Different kind of history!”
