I admit it. I’m a shutterbug. I love to take pictures, but I am far from a professional photographer. I would however LOVE to improve my skills and knowledge of using my camera. I figure the best way to do that, is to use it more, and in a variety of ways.
I’ve seen lots of “Photo A Day” assignments – but being honest here, I can’t keep up with an assignment every single day. So, I have a different plan. Each WEEK I’m going to have a theme, and work on that assignment for the week. On Friday, I’ll post my photos, and I invite you to do the same!
I will be posting these as #OperationShutterbug and would love for you to join me. Whether you are a beginner or a pro, this is for everyone.
You can get as creative as you like with these themes, and your interpretation of them. For instance, the first week is YOU. This doesn’t have to be a portrait – this can be something that represents you, or an artistic rendition of you. Color. Black & white. Let your creativity loose!
Each week, I will share the photos I have taken that week, and invite you to share the links to your photos in the comments (or maybe link-up?) on my post.
Instagram: Just upload your photo, play with the filters, add a caption and the hashtag #OperationShutterbug and share it. I’d love for you to tag me @Cosmopolitancornbread
Twitter: You can share on Twitter by uploading the photo and sharing the hashtag #OperationShutterbug. Feel free to tag me @FoodieArmyWife
Facebook: You can simply share on your own personal page, among your own friends, or you can upload to the Facebook page that I have created: “Operation Shutterbug.”
Blog: If you have a blog, you could share each week or do a wrap up of all the photos at the end of the month – and share your link!
Tumblr: Add your photos to your Tumblr feed.
Flickr: Add your photos to the group, and they may be featured on here!
So, are you ready for the assignments?
Here is the list for the remainder of March, and April:
The only rules: Post your own photos, and keep them clean. That’s it!
I can’t wait to see what you share!
