This weekend, something new was launched in Huntsville, Alabama. A street food park!
Amie Vaughn White is the creator of the new street food park and was inspired on a trip to Atlanta, where she was able to enjoy first hand the benefits of a designated food truck location. She was motivated to bring the idea to Huntsville, and that has become a reality. Now patrons can visit some of their favorite food trucks and head inside to the “canteen” to enjoy their selections in a beautifully decorated and air-conditioned space – complete with televisions and wifi.
The park officially launched on Saturday with the grand ribbon cutting as the mayor of Huntsville looked on.
Of course, there was a variety of food trucks, fun for the kids and great times to be had.
My “Whiskey Vanilla Caramel” cupcake from Sugar Belle.
My lunch – Lamb Tacos with Pineapple Slaw from The Hot Box.
Don’t forget the four-legged patrons! There is even a spot for them to get refreshments, and this pup looked like she appreciated it.
I mean, look at that face!
