Oh good gravy, these ducks! The saga of the big mess continues. I headed to Huntsville for a photography meet-up and then a few updates. Also, a Q & A is coming, so send me your questions! (Family friendly of course.)
There’s so much that happened this week! First a coffee event, then a tour of downtown Huntsville shops. Fence building, coop cleaning, kayaking…all in a hurry before we get more blasted rain!
Today was a very “domestic” episode. First I went and did my usual volunteer work at the county animal shelter and saw something surprising. Then I did some cooking, making a delicious Irish Beef & Cabbage Soup (link below), made another batch of cleaner…and then…a SURPRISE!
In this episode I shared a couple hauls from Costco and Tractor Supply. I planted some trees that I got a great deal on, and the dogs had a hay day.
This is the first in a series of special Wednesday Coffee Chats, where I talk about all of those dirty little secrets people may not realize before they start homesteading.
This weekend we FINALLY got the bantams’ run area completed. We haven’t had a weekend without rain since January, so we jumped on the first chance we got. Then later I headed into Huntsville, AL for a photo walk. This time we went to an old, historic cemetery.
