Tree of Life Bible Giveaway

Anyone who knows me, knows that the bible is very important to me, and that I have studied it for years.

I have a variety of bibles that I use, and a few that are my favorites, like the CJB.

This is another favorite of mine, the Tree of Life bible. The one that I have is from the Tree of Life Bible Society, and is the “Messianic Jewish Family Bible.”

Don’t let the name of the bible mislead you. This bible is for “Christians” and contains both the Old and New Testaments.

One of the things that I love about this bible, is that it uses many of the original (not modern) terms in the bible. For instance:

Peace = Shalom

Jesus = Yeshua

Christ = Messiah

Holy Spirit = Ruach Ha-Kodesh, and others.

There are illustrations as well as traditional prayers and other resources in the back of the bible.

The one I am giving away is brand new and has a dark green cover, but the inside is exactly the same. (I added book tabs to mine.)

I grew up with a family bible and some where it was lost in one of many moves. Having another bible as lovely as this one (not to mention my favorite color too!), would be great to track my family history and pass on to my family. Then, during Sukkot, my boys were swimming, and I was reading it by the pool. The boys got in a fight, and I jumped up to break up the argument, and dropped my bible in the pool! THEN in an attempt to be helpful, the boys set it on a log next to the fire to try to dry it out…and it CAUGHT on fire!!! I am still using the parts I can, but GOODNESS, it’s had a rough life, and I could use a new one. 😆
