Vanilla Sugar is as simple as it sounds. Sugar infused with the aroma and flavor of vanilla. You can use it in your coffee, to had a hint of vanilla flavor, or even in place of regular sugar when pressing sugar cookies… Any place you might like the subtle taste of vanilla.
All you need is a vanilla bean and sugar. Split the bean in half with a sharp knife, then cut each half into thirds.
Toss it in a jar.
Add in a cup and a half of sugar.
Put on the lid, and give it a shake. Set it in your pantry and let it get cozy for about a week, then enjoy!
