water
1
sheet
puff pastry dough
thawed
flour for dusting

Nutella
or similar chocolate nut spread, divided
4 1/2
teaspoon
demerera sugar
divided
Instructions
To begin, preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
In a dish, whisk together the egg and water, until frothy. Set it aside.
Lay the sheet of puff pastry dough on a lightly floured surface and cut it into 9 squares. A pizza cutter is handy for this.
Place a tablespoon of Nutella in the middle.
Brush a little egg wash on the edges around the Nutella and fold closed. Press the edges together.
Brush the top with egg wash and sprinkle about a half teaspoon of demerera sugar on top.
Repeat the process with all of the squares and place them on a baking sheet.
Bake 10-13 minutes, or until golden. Serve warm or room temperature.
