Is there anyone that doesn’t love the flavors of pumpkin and spice in the autumn?
This Spiced Pumpkin cake is filled with the flavors of autumn – cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and cloves.
But it doesn’t stop with the cake. Even the glaze is flavored with spice. You will adore this beautiful and delightful dessert.
I’ve always loved making bundt cakes. They look so pretty but are no harder to make than any other basic cake.
The trick to making sure that the cake doesn’t stick in the ornate pan, is to coat it well. Some grease & flour, some use baking spray. I use a mixture that I have used for decades.
And nothing ever sticks. Ever, ever.

Making the Spiced Pumpkin Bundt Cake
To begin, preheat your oven to 350 ° (F).
Grease and flour a standard Bundt cake pan. (Or use my Baking Spray Replacement.) Set it aside for now.
Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, cloves and salt in a bowl. Whisk together. Set aside for a moment.
Whisk eggs in your mixing bowl.
Add extra virgin olive oil, applesauce, pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract. Whisk together until they are combined.
Add in the dry ingredients, half at a time, using your whisk.
Scrape the sides of the bowl with a rubber spatula to ensure everything is well combined.
Stir in chopped pecans.
Spread the batter into your prepared cake pan, smoothing the top.
Then carefully invert the cake onto the rack and remove the pan. Cool completely.
Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until the cake tests done with a wooden skewer.
Place the cake (in the pan) on a rack to cool for 10 minutes.
For the Spiced Glaze
When the cake is cooled, combine all of the ingredients in a bowl. Add just enough milk to make the mixture smooth, whisking it all together.
Drizzle over the top of the cake.
Enjoy!
