Everything you love about the winter drink in this cool dessert – Mocha Latte Ice Cream.
Below you will find a collection of recipes that are perfect for cooling down on a hot summer day. I’ve shared my yummy homemade mocha latte ice cream recipe, which I recently made for our Independence Day barbecue.
To begin, combine 3 cups of half & half…
1 1/4 cup powdered sugar
A pinch of salt
2 tablespoons of espresso powder
Whisk these until combined and the powders are dissolved. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for 3 hours.
After it has chilled, pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer’s directions.
Once the ice cream is ready, spread half of the ice cream in a container. Drizzle with 1/2 cup of chocolate syrup.
Repeat with the other half of the ice cream and another 1/2 cup of chocolate syrup. Freeze for 2-3 hours or until set.

Oh I so wish I had a big bowl of this right now!!
I see myself eating this with a scoop of chocolate ice cream too! : ) How fantastic! Where did you score a bottle of espresso powder???
William Sonoma! :)
Mocha ice cream is always one of my favs! Delicious!
An indulgent coffee treat in the form of ice cream…doesn’t get much more decadent and delicious than that!
Oh my! I have to try this . It looks so light, creamy and fluffy.
I have never seen espresso powder before! What a great looking ice cream!!
My hubby would be all over this – any coffee flavored desserts are his fave. I should make this for him!
Great recipe! Easy and just a few ingredients for a summer treat. Thanks for sharing.
I tell you it’s definitely a good thing that I don’t own an ice cream maker. I would never stop making this one.
Mmmmmmmmm, this is hands down my fav ice cream! I’ve never made it myself, SO excited thanks for sharing!
Oh, powdered sugar for the sugar sub, that’s a brilliant idea!
Shannon, using powdered sugar allows the sugar to dissolve quickly with no need to heat it up first. Less chilling time is necessary that way. It doesn’t work for all ice cream recipes, but definitely for this one :)
Looks great! I really need to get an ice cream maker! So many great combos!!
Love this flavor combo! I mean…Chocolate and Espresso… Yes please! Yum!!
I adore coffee flavored ice creams, even though I don’t really drink coffee otherwise. I’m sure this would disappear in our house!
Yummy! I love that we can cool down and caffeinate at the same time
That’s the best way to cool down! :D
Thank you Constance. Have a Great Sunday!
Is there anything better than ice cream in July? NO! And this is a fabulous combination. Pinned, tweeted and in my kitchen very soon. Great #SundaySupper choice.
