I love making Nutella Swirl Muffins. Gorgeous little muffins with a swirl of Nutella. You can’t go wrong with these.
To begin, line a standard muffin tin with papers and preheat your oven to 325 degrees.
In your mixing bowl, mix together 2 eggs and 3/4 cup sugar.
To that, add 1 1/2 c flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 2 teaspoons baking powder.
Add in a half teaspoon of ground nutmeg. Mix it together.
Don’t they look like brains? Ahem…
Add in a quarter cup of extra virgin olive oil (or vegetable oil)
And 3/4 cup of whole milk.
Finally, stir in a teaspoon of hazelnut extract.
Scoop the batter into your muffin tin.
Now for the Nutella! Spoon a tablespoon or so onto the top of each muffin.
Stick a toothpick in the middle and swirl it around.
Repeat with all of the muffins.
Bake them for 17-19 minutes or until they test done in the center with a toothpick. Remove them to a rack and allow them to cool.
Enjoy!
