No, it isn’t The North Pole….it is a little town just down the road named “North Pole, Alaska.”

And in North Pole, they take their name very seriously.

Everywhere you look, things are red and white striped, like candy canes.

Many of the streets have very interesting names as well.

The Whole “North Pole” theme doesn’t stop with business names and sign posts either.

When you drive down St. Nicholas Drive, this is what you find.

Outside the Santa Claus House, they are beginning to create ice sculptures.

It is very hard to get the detail to show up with the camera.
